Business Background

ReneSola is a Chinese manufacturer of crystalline silicon raw material, ingots, and solar wafers. Solar wafers are used by manufacturers of photovoltaic cells for the generation of electricity from sunlight. Wafer manufacturing entails growing silicon ingots in furnaces and slicing or "wafering" those ingots into a usable form for solar cell makers. The company commenced operations in 2005.
