Methode Electronics makes component and subsystem devices employing electrical, radio remote control, electronic, wireless, and sensing technologies. The firm is organized in three business segments: automotive, interface, and power products. The automotive segment supplies switches, sensors, and other electronic devices to automobile original-equipment manufacturers. The interface segment provides fiber-optic and copper interface products for the aerospace, construction, medical, military, and other markets. The power products segment includes braided cables, custom assemblies, and power cabling systems. Roughly half of the firm's revenue is generated in the United States, with China and Malta accounting for most of the remainder.
